Joe Bachetti is Tecumseh’s Deputy Mayor and Deputy Warden for the County of Essex. He first entered municipal politics at the age of 28 and has been elected or acclaimed the past ten terms totalling over three decades. He has served as a municipal councillor for 20 years 1994-2014, and now as Deputy Mayor 2014 to present.

Joe is a retired school principal and is very active in his community. He is the second Vice President of the Giovanni Caboto Club and was a recent champion of revamping the Constitution allowing all genders to become members of the Club.  He is a charter member of the Optimist Club of St Clair Beach and volunteers for many local organizations such as the Knights of Columbus, Sandwich South Historical Society and the Tecumseh Corn Festival. 

He was past Chair and currently a board member on the Essex Region Conservation Authority. Joe is also the Chair of the Essex County Library Board, Chair of the Windsor Essex Community Housing Corporation and Chair of the Windsor Essex County Health Unit. 

Joe enjoys playing pickleball during his spare time and resides in Tecumseh with his wife Brenda and three daughters Daniela, Sabrina, and Julia.
