My name is Frazier Fathers, I am researcher and consultant living in West-Windsor with my dog Izzy!

This blog has evolved from its original purpose of being a sounding board of my general ramblings on politics, a place to be accountable for my efforts to get in shape and to talk about travel to a blog about local policy issues impacting Windsor Ontario.

Although I may/will post on other things, this blog will primarily remain on this subject going forward. The posts are only lightly edited as I am often inspired to write them on a whim as issues emerge. Please forgive spelling and grammar issues.

During COVID I launched a podcast called Council Conversations which tried to tell stories of small and mid-sized communities across SW Ontario through conversations with elected officials, community organizations/groups and people who interest me. This podcast continues and you can find it on all major podcasting platforms.

Across the top bar you will find a number of things. The blog post will bring you to my most recent posts and every few months or so (I keep telling myself), I update the table of contents page which captures older posts as well as series of blogs that I have written, contributions to other websites, book reviews and past research. Blog projects like the Windsor Research Project and A Few Thoughts (a weekly post for over a year during COVID) can also be found in the table of contents page. My Publication tab is where research project and reports that I have drafted or contributed to are posted. The Council Conversation tab brings you to a list of all of the people who have been on my podcast, their bios, conversations topics and links to specific shows. Finally the Reading 2024 tab is where I am tracking what I am currently reading this year. I made “resolution” to be on social media less and read more. So I am posting the books that are complete, currently in progress or to be read. Some of these books may get little reviews as well.
