The following are standard questions that I ask every participant on the podcast.

1) We begin all of our conversations by letting you tell your story. Who are you, what did you do for a living before politics, your pathway to becoming an elected official etc.

2) You represent the riding of Windsor-Tecumseh. For those that don’t know where is it? Who lives there? What do they do for a living? What issues end up in your inbox or you hear at the door?

3) You represent half a city and all of a small suburban town. How do you balance that? How does Windsor-Tecumseh fit into SW Ontario? Why should someone from Toronto or Waterloo care about your constituency in the grand scheme of things?

Then we will dig into some policy/discussion topics.

4) You used to be a Town Councillor where politics is done without parties. From the outside and from dozens of conversations on this podcast it looks like You would talk with your colleagues, debating ideas and perspectives, maybe changing each other’s mind and then casting a vote. Now you are in a party, at least from an external perspective, your team does no wrong and the other team has no good ideas ever. What system do you prefer? What do you do if something is happening that is bad for your community but maybe good for the party or Province as a whole?

5) Cannot not talk about Housing in Windsor-Essex, how do you see the crisis playing out in your constituency and across the region. You recently said it wasn’t the City’s fault it didn’t hit targets (I largely agree) but where do we go from here?

6) Something you are looking forward to in 2024 – might be a favourite event in your community/constituency or a policy issue you are going to be tackling.
